Ori Hofmekler was born in 1952. He is a modern Renaissance man, who graduated from Bezalel in Jerusalem, and published political cartoons in prestigious magazines and art books, in Israel and around the world. In Hofmekler's galleries, the worlds of politics, culture and entertainment blend into ironic cartoons of well-known figures.
For his work, Hofmeckler won the Herman Struck Prize for Printing.
Hofmeckler has been living and working in the United States since the 1980s. Due to impaired vision, he stopped painting and developed a new passion - for nutrition and health. He invented a special diet - "The Warrior Diet" - And is the author of several books on the subject.
